Specialist global fund manager, Hastings, has announced the departure of chief executive officer, Andrew Day, effective 30 September 2017.

Day joined Hastings as CEO in October 2011. He has executive leadership experience in both domestic and international markets, having previously held the role of CEO of investment company Eircom Holdings, where he managed the Irish telecommunications and Israeli directories businesses. His previous roles include CEO and chair of Truvo, a European-based private equity owned company, CEO of Sensis, Australia's largest advertising and search business, and managing director, commercial and consumer sales at Telstra Corporation.

Commenting on his departure from Hastings, chair, Brian Scullin, thanked Day for his leadership over the last six years "which has seen Hastings grow its business substantially in Australia while also diversifying its operations outside Australia."

Succeeding Day is board member, and former CFO at Westpac, Terry Winder, who will take up the role on 1 October 2017.
