Irene Guiamatsia has returned to Investment Trends as its new head of research.
Guiamatsia spent the last two years with ASIC in market supervision and technology analyst roles. She previously spent more than five years with Investment Trends including as research director. She was the lead researcher on super fund member preferences for financial advice, private banking needs, and retail online share investing.

Guiasmatsia holds a PhD in aerospace engineering and held technical staff roles around the thermal design of satellite microprocessors before moving into computational mechanics in a post-doc at the University of Sydney.
The organisation noted that former research director Recep Peker will continue to consult with the business.
