GQG Partners appoints head of compliance

GQG Partners has appointed its first compliance officer. Alison Smith joins the group from BlackWatch Partners where she created risk and compliance frameworks for financial services clients.

Alison is a high-quality professional and brings specific compliance and risk management expertise and experience to the company."

Before joining BlackWatch, Smith spent nearly eight years as head of client risk and compliance for Treasury Group and held compliance management roles at CommInsure, MLC, and EY. She started her career in portfolio administration with State Street.
