Global X ETFs has boosted its local team by hiring a head of sales in a bid to thwart local rivals.
The appointment follows last week's hire of a product and investment strategist and a senior business development manager.
The high-profile Manny Damianakis joins Global X from Insight Investment Consultants, where he served as a director.
Damianakis has had a 20-year career in distribution at firms like Franklin Templeton, AMP Capital and Vanguard.
Notably, he was instrumental in establishing Vanguard's ETF business in Australia.
His appointment follows that of Marc Jocum, who joined as a product and investment strategist, along with Todd Surace, who was appointed senior business development manager.
Jocum arrived after almost five years at robo-adviser Stockspot, where he held senior positions to lead investment operations and strategic growth initiatives and specialised in research for their diversified portfolios.
Before that, he worked for Morgan Stanley, where he contributed to investment ideas and played a crucial role in supporting asset allocation strategy as an ETF analyst for the Asia Pacific.

"Manny will drive our sales strategy, using his extensive experience to deepen key client relationships, enhance our processes, and ultimately grow our market share," Metcalf added.
As for Jocum, the chief executive said research is a core focus for Global X worldwide, and the local firm will build a robust local team.
"Working alongside industry expert David Tuckwell, Marc will be leading the development of our market intelligence capabilities as well as providing cutting-edge insights into portfolio construction and income investing," Metcalf said.
"Contributing to the 30-plus research team based in New York, Global X will continue to build out a strong research function in Australia to drive product development, market insights and investor education."
Meantime, Surace landed at Global x ETFs from Tribeca Investment Partners, where he was investor relations manager for two and a half years.
Before that, he spent about the same time at La Trobe Financial as a senior account manager for private wealth.
Surace has also worked as a regional manager at XTB: Australian Corporate Bond Company and an annuity consultant at Challenger Limited.
Aside from Surace, Global X has recently also two new business development associates, Tom Hogan, who landed from Vestone Capital and Caleb Chia, who came across from Colonial First State.
