Future Super's chief investment officer Dan East is set to step back from his executive role.

A statement from the organisation indicates that East will take on an increased role in the governance of the Future Super Group. He will continue to hold positions on both the fund's risk and investment committees.

East joined Future Super after more than 30 years in the global markets. He was previously spent more than 16 years as the chief executive and chief investment officer. He also spent time in derivative proprietary trading for Banque Indosuez and was the chief trader for Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank.

East's new title has not been disclosed by the organisation, nor what is happening with the chief investment officer role.
