Future Generation has found its replacement for Louise Walsh. UBS Asia Pacific managing director of marketing and communications Caroline Gurney has been named the new chief exec following a global search.
Gurney may be an unusual choice, coming from a communications background however she is a known quantity to the charitable investment group, having served on the organisation's board for the last two years.
In comments to the AFR, Future Generation's acting chief executive Kate Thorley said Gurney will focus on "promoting the investment vehicle and returning the share prices to their respective net tangible assets."
Gurney, who departs UBS after nearly 18 years, will commence with Future Generation in September.
