Frontier appoints former Mercer exec as Senior Consultant

Frontier Advisors has announced the appointment of David Carruthers as its new senior consultant responsible for leading Frontier's Retirement Solutions Group

Carruthers previously spent 19 years at Mercer in roles that included global product management in the areas of investment data and analytics and in wealth management, along with a stint in London as the head of investment information services for Europe. Prior to joining Mercer, Carruthers was at Towers Perrin for six years, working in an investment advisory and research capacity.

In a statement from the firm, CEO Damian Moloney said: "David has a deep knowledge of technology solutions and the financial planning and superannuation markets and is strongly placed to support our ambitions in two key strategic areas, namely technology and retirement solutions."

Carruthers' appointment is the first of a series of new appointments Frontier hopes to complete before the end of the year. The firm is also looking to further boost its stocks in the debt and alternatives area and increase its pool of analysts.
