Franklin Templeton Investments Australia (Franklin Templeton) has announced the appointment of Vivian Sun as senior director of institutional business.

In this Melbourne-based role, Sun will report to Felicity Walsh, head of institutional and alternatives, and be responsible for building the firm's relationships with institutional investors in Australia and New Zealand. She will also support the delivery of Franklin Templeton's "range of investment capabilities, including alternatives offerings from K2 Advisors," the firm said.

He added: "We plan to further augment both our institutional and retail advisory distribution teams in the coming months, as we seek to best position our business for growth and add further capabilities to our Australian team."
