Franklin Templeton adds Financial Institutions Leader to distribution team

Franklin Templeton Investments Australia has announced a new operating structure for its local distribution team, with Louise Thompson being appointed to lead the firm's financial institutions segment, with a particular focus on servicing the major banks and funds management companies, effective November 2016.

Thompson joined Franklin Templeton in 2005, and was most recently responsible for the firm's retail business in the Northern region.

Joining her in the restructured team are fellow new appointees, Stuart Devlin, who takes on responsibility for IFAs and family offices, and Charles Levinge, who will lead the institutional segment.

Commenting on the changes, managing director of Franklin Templeton Australia, Maria Wilton, said: "These appointments reflect the continuing evolution of the local market as well as our own business, and importantly our ongoing focus on our ability to service the key market segments we operate in."
