The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced the appointment of Ken Whitton to the newly-created role of professional practice manager.
Based in Sydney, Whitton will be responsible for expanding referral programs to connect Australians with certified financial planners, as well as enhance the FPA's service offering.
Whitton, who has 20 years' experience in financial planning, super fund management and advocacy roles, was previously a senior policy advisor at the Association of Super Funds (ASFA). He has also served as a consultant educator to the FPA for almost five years.
Commenting on his appointment, FPA CEO, Dante De Gori, said that Whitton is "uniquely qualified to take on this role."
Whitton added that its an "exciting time of change for financial planning" and that he is looking forward "to working with FPA Professional Practices to shape the future of advice and further advance professionalism."
