FPA adds former KPMG partner to board

The Financial Planning Association of Australia has appointed Diana D'Ambra to its board as a non-executive director and chair of the organisation's audit and risk committee.

D'Ambra replaces Paul Ruiz, who resigned earlier this year. She's held several board positions in recent years in including as chair of Women in Banking and Finance and as a member of the disclosure initiative project at the Australian Accounting Standards Board. She previously was chair for the Australian Shareholders' Association and a committee member for the ASX Corporate Governance Council.

As an executive, D'Ambra spent more than 13 years as an executive director and partner with KPMG Australia, specialising in corporate finance advice and M&A.
