Fortnum Financial Group has announced the appointment of Neil Younger as the firm's new managing director.

Younger joins from ANZ, where he was the managing director of advice and open market, a role he was appointed to in 2013 and left in February 2016.

Prior to that, he held senior wealth management roles at BT Financial Group and Commonwealth Bank.

In his new role, Younger will work closely with Fortnum Financial Advisers managing director Joel Taylor, Innova Asset Management managing director Dan Miles and group chair Ray Miles.

Commenting on the appointment, Ray Miles said: "Neil is a well-regarded, experienced wealth management executive with proven skills across a range of areas and we're fortunate to be able to attract someone of his calibre to take Fortnum to the next stage."

Younger added: "Fortnum is a quality business with considerable growth opportunities and I'm excited about working with Ray, Joel, Dan and the team to take the group forward."
