Former YBR CEO joins broker firm

Mortgage broking and finance group, Loan Market, has appointed former Yellow Brick Road CEO Matt Lawler to the role of executive director and head of distribution and advice.

In this role, Lawler will be responsible for driving the network expansion and supporting existing franchises. He will also manage the firm's transition to a fully integrated service offering including Wealth Market - Loan Market's sister company and financial planning arm launched in March 2017.

Lawler was most recently the executive general manager, wealth management services with OneVue, a role he was appointed to in November 2016 and left in July 2017. Previously, he spent almost five years as CEO of Yellow Brick Road and prior to that spent over 22 years at MLC Wealth, culminating in his appointment to the role of executive general manager of MLC advice and distribution.

Commenting on his appointment at Loan Market, executive chair, Sam White, said: "I am thrilled that Matt has joined our team.
