Former Prime Minister joins property finance and investment house board

Property finance and investment house, CVS Lane Capital Partners, has recently announced the appointment of former Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, to its board, effective mid-2017.

Gillard served as Australia's 27th Prime Minister from 2010-2013 and was previously Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education and Workplace Relations and Social Inclusion.

Commenting on her appointment, CVS Lane Capital Partners' managing director, Lee Centra, said: "Julia Gillard's appointment as a non-exec director reflects the rapid evolution and maturity of the business. Gillard, who is currently chair of both the Global Partnership for Education and beyondblue, is the first independent director to join the CVS board
