Former NAB exec joins Qualitas

Real estate investment management firm Qualitas has announced the launch of its $500m construction finance fund and the appointment of Mark Power as director of real estate finance, effective April 2017.

Power joins Qualitas following 17 years at NAB, where he was most recently director of corporate property for Victoria & Tasmania.

He, and fellow new recruit, Gil Norwood, will report to managing director of real estate finance, Tim Johansen, who is responsible for both the new fund and the expansion of the team.

Commenting on the appointments, Johansen said: "We are pleased to have two senior bankers join our team and use their skills, experience and networks to help drive the success of the construction finance fund. The new fund will allow us to expand the positive relationships we've built with developers to date."
