Former NAB Corporate Affairs GM joins the board of VFMC

Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) has announced the appointment of Paula Benson to its board.

Benson is a corporate affairs executive and non-executive director with experience in financial services, media, resources, and the education sector. Recently, until her departure in March 2016, she was the executive general manager of corporate affairs at National Australia Bank. She has chaired Ovarian Cancer Australia since 2010.

Benson, and fellow new board appointee, Lisa Gay, replace Ray King and Chris Pearce who completed their three year tenure in January 2016.

Commenting on the appointments, VFMC chair James MacKenzie said: "The new directors deepen the strength of VFMC's Board in financial services and funds management and VFMC welcomes the additional skills and insights Ms Benson and Ms Gay will bring in the area of corporate and social responsibility."
