Former MLC private equity head joins Future Fund

The Future Fund Management Agency has announced the appointment of Alicia Gregory as head of private equity.

In this role, Gregory will lead the Future Fund's private equity team, relationships with external partners and the global private equity portfolio.

Commenting on her appointment, deputy chief investment officer of private markets Wendy Norris said: "We are delighted to welcome Alicia to the Future Fund. Alicia has extensive experience in leading a global private equity team and managing a sophisticated program including significant co-investments. She is strongly positioned to lead our team and further develop our successful private equity program."

Gregory will be based in the Future Fund's Sydney office and report directly to Norris. Additional senior staff will also be recruited to the private equity team, the fund said.

Gregory has over 20 years' experience in the financial services sector and for the past 14 years has worked within the MLC private equity program, most recently as head of private equity, and previously as the firm's London-based head of private equity for Europe
