Former Head of Govt Relations & Policy re-joins ISA in new role

Industry Super Australia (ISA) has announced the appointment of Nick Coates as a senior advisor, effective 8 August 2017.

Coates previously worked at ISA as head of government relations and policy, from 2007 to 2009, where he played a key role in the organisation's policy work on the regulation of financial services.

Since then he has worked as a senior manager with ASIC, where he oversaw consumer protections in financial advice, and, most recently, as a director with Ernst and Young, in the area of financial risk management.

Commenting on his re-appointment at ISA, CEO, David Whiteley, said: "Nick brings more than a decade of knowledge and expertise relating to financial services and regulatory policy, which will strengthen ISA's capacity to defend the interests of members against adverse policy change."
