J.P. Morgan has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Steve Maartensz as co-head of equity distribution, effective end of July 2017.

Joining Maartensz as co-head of equity distribution is Andrew Tanner, who was most recently head of research sales at Goldman Sachs before taking a sabbatical in 2016. Maartensz and Tanner replace Malcolm Price.

The firm added: "Growing our equities franchise to fully capture the opportunities that exist for our business and build our market share into leadership positions remains a top priority for us. With ongoing investments in people, capabilities and technology, we're making good progress on this front in Australia and New Zealand."

Dyson Bowditch, former head of syndicate and head of equities at Goldman Sachs, will also join J.P. Morgan as head of syndicate for Australia and New Zealand.
