Peter Bentley has confirmed to Industry Moves his appointment as client director, asset and wealth management at KPMG, effective April 2018.

In this role, he is responsible for managing KPMG's engagement with clients in the asset and wealth management sector including: superannuation, asset management, wealth management and advice clients.

Bentley was most recently an investment consultant with Contango Asset Management, a role he was appointed to in December 2016 and left in February 2018.

Bentley has a background in business development, strategy, financial services and policy development. He has served as a director of industry superannuation fund Club Plus Super, and previously established and led the McKell Institute, a public policy institute. He has worked as a policy director specialising in housing and infrastructure, a market research director and a lecturer in international finance.

Commenting on his appointment at KMPG, Bentley said to Industry Moves: "Fund managers, superannuation funds, wealth service providers and private equity firms are increasingly turning to KPMG for support in navigating the many challenges that the sector faces. It is a great honour to join KPMG and work with clients to help solve complex challenges that they face."

He has replaced Manish Prasad, who will join Ignition Wealth in May as chief executive officer. Prasad is now working through a handover period with Bentley.
