Former CFS GAM CEO joins Yarra board

Yarra Capital Management has appointed former Colonial First State Global Asset Management CEO Mark Lazberger to its board as a non-executive director.

"There are few executives in this country with Mark Lazberger's experience," said Yarra chair Mark Burgess. "We are delighted that he has agreed to join Yarra's Board, and look forward to working with him."

Lazberger was the CEO of CFS GAM for more than ten years, leaving in December of 2018 before its acquisition by Japanese bank MUFG. Before that he held senior roles with State Street in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, and the UK.

"Mark brings an unrivalled depth of industry expertise to Yarra," said Yarra MD Dion Hershan. "His experience in growing assets at large, global funds management organisations will be of enormous benefit to the business."
