Austock Group has announced the appointment of Rob Coombe as the group's executive chair, effective 18 July 2017, as foreshadowed in a May 2017 ASX announcement.
Eric Barr, who has been acting as chair since March, in anticipation of Coombe's appointment, will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
Coombe, who has experience in running retail and business banking, private banking, funds management, life and general insurance, pension and financial planning businesses, was previously chief executive of BT Financial Group from 2004 to 2010 and group executive of Westpac's retail and business banking division from 2010 to 2011.
