Former BNY Mellon chief appointed Heitman MD

James Gruver has been appointed managing director of global sales for Chicago-based global real estate investment management firm, Heitman. Gruver will lead the firm's sales, relationship management, client service and marketing activities. The firm has offices in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific, including Melbourne.

Prior to joing Heitman, Gruver was senior managing director at US-based Black River Asset Management. Before that, he held senior roles in EMEA, Asia Pacific and North America for BNY Mellon Investment Management.
