Montgomery Investment Management, a Sydney-based specialist boutique equity manager, has announced the appointment of Matthew Briggs as head of institutional sales for the firm's global business.
Briggs joins Montgomery Global from Bennelong Funds Management, where he was director of institutional distribution. Before joining Bennelong in March 2017, he spent twelve years with Citigroup Global Markets in London and Sydney.
Briggs is one of four new Montgomery Global appointees, including head of global business development, Craig Morton, and research analyst, Lachlan Mackay - who will both be based in the firm's Sydney office - and senior research analyst, Amit Nath - who will be based in the firm's newly-opened New York office.
Their appointments bring the Montgomery Global team to nine, five in Sydney and four in New York.
In addition, Joseph Kim has joined the Montgomery domestic team as a senior research analyst.
