Former Australian Unity chief joins Infocus

Infocus Wealth Management has announced the appointment of Steve Davis to the newly-created role of chief commercial officer.

The appointment of Davis, who was previously the chief executive of Australian Unity Personal Financial Services, follows Infocus' announcement last week that it has appointed two other former Australian Unity execs - Jeff Mitchell, as chief investment officer, and Craig Meldrum, as head of technical services.

Infocus founder and managing director, Darren Steinhardt, said of Davis' appointment: "Steve is an experienced, enthusiastic financial services professional, a great team player, and someone who will bring outstanding commercial acumen and strategic direction to our business."

He added: 'We believe Steve will be a great cultural fit for Infocus, partly because, like the majority of our senior leadership team, he has spent time as a financial adviser which helps him to have real empathy with the challenges our advisers face in helping clients achieve their financial and lifestyle goals."

Davis is expected to commence his new role in August 2018 and will be based at Infocus' head office on the Sunshine Coast.
