Sydney-based wealth management firm, Stanford Brown, has announced the appointment of Brad Fox to its board as non-executive director, effective July 2017.

Fox was previously the CEO of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) for four years. He stepped down from that role on 20 March 2017.

At Stanford Brown, Fox will assist the firm with its growth plans which include an expansion beyond its Sydney base.

Commenting on his appointment, Stanford Brown's founder and chair, David Brown, said: "I am delighted to welcome Brad to Stanford Brown. During his four-year tenure as CEO of the AFA, he showed real courage and leadership.
