FlexiPlan founder and BT director joins Sargon buyer board

FlexiPlan founder and former CEO, Sue Thomas, has joined the board for Certes Corporation, the rebranded Sargon.

Thomas founded FlexiPlan in 1992 and sold it to MLC in 1999. Since that time, she's held a variety of finance directorships including with Clearview Weatlh, Grant Thornton, and Property Exchange Australia (PEXA). She's currently a non-executive director for BT Financial Group.

Thomas joins Lindsay Tanner, who has been appointed chair, and Marcus Price, who will assume the role of group CEO and managing director.

"There are few industries as important as superannuation to both the economy and the wellbeing of every citizen," said Thomas. "We all feel passionately about lifting the bar within our industry. As a new guard, we are committed to working closely with all regulators, including those of APRA and ASIC to ensure confidence is maintained and strengthened in our operations."

Pending approvals, Pacific Infrastructure Partners will rebrand Sargon to Certes Corporation.
