First State Super appoints Head of Compliance

First State Super has appointed Athena Efstratiadis as the $90 billion fund's new head of compliance, effective August 2018.

Efstratiadis, who has 25 years' experience working in the financial services industry, has spent the past eight years in senior risk and compliance roles with Rabobank. Before this, she worked for ING Australia, MLC Wealth Management and AMP.

First State Super said Efstratiadis has "a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements gained through significant experience across retail banking, agricultural banking and wealth management."
