First State Super adds to strategy team

First State Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the recent integration of Jason Jin into its investment team as a senior investment analyst. This follows the $84 billion fund's 2016 acquisition of financial planning firm, StatePlus.

In his new role at First State Super, Jin works within the fund's strategy team.

Previously, he was a quantitative analyst with StatePlus, a role he held from April 2015. Prior to that he has worked in investment or market risk related roles for ANZ, Tyndall AM, Sunguard and Deutsche Bank.

At First State Super, he is joined by four former StatePlus employees: Jennifer Cowan, Mark Vrkic and Jo Cornwell, who all join as senior investment analysts, and Andrew Schiling, who joins as an investment analyst, plus one new hire, Dr Shang Wu.
