Fintech expert joins Cashwerkz board

Cashwerkz has announced that Craig Swanger has joined its board, effective 1 October 2019.

Commenting on the appointment, Cashwerkz executive chair John Nantes said: "Craig has impeccable credentials to assist us as we take the business to the next stage. We are very pleased to welcome him to the board and look forward to his contribution to an already stellar team."

Swanger, a fintech investment and strategy expert, has worked in investment markets for more than 25 years and is the former global head of Macquarie Group's Global Investments unit.

His current focus, according to Cashwerkz, is on backing early-stage companies, "particularly those with an emphasis on using digital technology to transform industries through transparency, consumer empowerment and profit for purpose." These include fund manager, Mackeller Capital; aged care comparison website, Care360; neolender, WISR; and neobank, Xinja Bank.
