FIIG appoints Head of Research

Fixed income dealer FIIG Securities has appointed credit strategist and fund manager, Mark Bayley, to the role of head of credit strategy and research. Bayley will manage the FIIG research team while also providing macroeconomic commentary and credit analysis.

He joins FIIG from Aquasia where he held the position of credit strategist. Prior to that, he was director, credit & structuring at ABN AMRO and also worked for JPMorgan in London.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Mark Paton said: "Mark is a very experienced fixed income specialist with experience both on the sell-side as an analyst and on the buy-side as a fund manager, which makes him ideally suited to providing actionable insights to our clients."

He added: "We look forward to Mark's contribution in expanding the depth and range of our credit research, which has been instrumental in the success of our pioneering work to open the bond market for Australian companies and investors."
