Fidelity appoints Investment Specialist

Fidelity International has appointed Anthony Doyle to the newly-created position of investment specialist, reporting to managing director, Alva Devoy.

In this Sydney-based role, Doyle will "help position Fidelity's broad investment capabilities, strategy, markets views and performance to clients", the firm said.

Doyle joins Fidelity from M&G Investments in the UK, where he was most recently head of fixed income business development. According to Fidelity, he was also responsible for establishing the investment specialist role at M&G, leading a team that covered fixed income, equities, multi-asset and property.

Commenting on his appointment, Devoy said: "Anthony will have a strong client facing role and will be the bridge between our clients and the portfolio managers and distribution teams. This will help ensure that we understand the overall investment needs of our clients and where we can provide solutions through our range of investment capabilities."

Doyle has over 16 years' experience in investments, starting his career as an economist with Macquarie Group in 2002. He also worked at Pioneer Investments in Dublin, before joining M&G in 2009.
