Fidelity adds sustainable investing cred

Fidelity International has appointed Daniela Jaramillo as its first director of sustainable investing.

Jaramillo joins from HESTA where she has held a variety of ESG-focused investing roles for the last four years, most recently as senior responsible investment adviser. Jaramillio brings global experience to Fidelity International, having held sustainability roles with Wespath in Chicago, Legal & General and London Research International in the UK.

Outside of her executive roles, Jaramillio has been a board member with the Responsible Investment Association Australia and a member of the Principles for Responsible Investment stewardship advisory committee.

With Fidelity, Jaramillo will report to Jenn-Hui Tan, global head of stewardship and sustainable investing. "Daniela is a welcome addition to an already strong sustainable investing team, and I'm delighted to have her on board. She brings extensive experience in ESG strategy and policy, including integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into investment strategy, which will be highly additive to the continuing integration of sustainability practices into our investment process."
