Fidante nabs former Macquarie exec to lead new boutique partnership

Fidante Partners has announced the formation of Australian small-cap fund manager Lennox Capital Partners, the newest boutique under the Fidante brand, which is set to launch in April 2017.

The boutique will be led by James Dougherty, alongside Liam Donohue. The pair will join from Macquarie Group, where they have worked for 12 years, most recently as joint managers of the Macquarie Australian Small Company and Micro-Cap funds.

Commenting on the new venture, Challenger chief executive funds management, Ian Saines, said: "Fidante Partners has a great history supporting boutique, active investment managers and I am delighted to announce this latest partnership. We look forward to supporting the success of Lennox Capital Partners."

Commenting on the new appointments, GM of Fidante Partners, Nick Hamilton said: "James and Liam are extremely well credentialed small company investors with a track record that has delivered great results through a disciplined fundamental approach to investing."
