Evidentia recuits from Zenith

Evidentia Group, the asset consultant with $9 million of funds for private wealth funds, has appointed a new principal of asset consulting.

In the new role, Shailesh Jain will lead Evidentia's growth and consulting push in the Victorian and Tasmanian markets.

Evidentia said Jain is a highly regarded and experienced investment management and asset consulting professional and has over 20 years experience in investment management roles.

"Shailesh's broad experience in the investment management industry spans multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and private markets."

Jain joins from Zenith Investment Partners, where he spent nearly four years as a senior investment consultant.

In this role, the recruit advised clients on portfolio construction and ran tailored SMA investment strategies for them.

Before that, Jain spent nearly 12 years at Lonsec, starting as a senior investment analyst in 2009. He became head of Australian equities fund research in 2018 before taking on deputy head of active manager research.

He also did a four-year stint as a credit analyst at National Australia Bank.
