ETF Securities restructures, makes Australian CEO redundant

ETF Securities has announced a shakeup in its executive structure.

Founder and chair Graham Tuckwell has taken on the new role of executive chair. As a result, Australian CEO Kris Walesby has been made redundant.

"Kris has played an important role in leading the Australian business for the last five years and we wish him every success in his future endeavours," said Tuckwell.

Walesby joined ETF Securities (then ANZ ETFS Management) as head of Australia and New Zealand in October of 2015. He previously held asset management roles at Deutsche Bank and BlackRock.

The firm has made several other changes, including establishing a senior management team including Knish Chugh as head of distribution, Evan Metcalf as head of product, and Cliff Man as head of portfolio management.
