Equity Trustees appoints Key Account Manager

Equity Trustees Limited has appointed Michael Akele as a key account manager, reporting to Eliza Weaving, general manager, distribution partners - funds management.

Akele previously spent five years at Certitude Global Investments, where he managed territories including NSW and Queensland, and New Zealand. He has also consulted independently to boutique fund managers through his own business, and held various roles with Australian Unity Investments, Challenger and Morningstar.

Akele will be based in Equity Trustees' Sydney office and will be responsible for the development of adviser relationships in NSW and the distribution of funds for the investment managers represented by Equity Trustees including Dundas, La Salle and SG Hiscock.
