Michael O'Brien has been appointed executive director of Equity Trustees (EQT), responsible for management of the company, effective immediately.
News of the appointment follows an announcement by EQT that managing director of six years, Robin Burns, will retire on 1 July 2016. Burns is currently on extended sick-leave.
O'Brien has been a non-executive director of EQT since July 2014. He is a former chief executive and director of Invesco Australia and chief investment officer of AXA Australia and New Zealand.
