ECPAM appoints new Investment Analyst

ECP Asset Management (ECPAM) has announced the appointment of Sam Byrnes to the newly created role of investment analyst, based in the firm's Sydney office.

Byrnes joins after eight years with Bell Potter Securities, where his most recent position was as an institutional equities research analyst.

ECPAM chief investment officer, Manny Pohl, said Byrnes's experience as an equities research analyst and particularly in small and mid-cap companies makes him a good fit for the firm and the ECPAM approach to portfolio management.

"Sam's experience in equities sell-side research means he is well placed to help implement ECP's bottom up investment philosophy."
