ECP appoints business development manager

ECP Asset Management has appointed Lachlan Hodgkinson as business development manager to expand the company's national product distribution.

This will bring ECP's institutional distribution in-house, taking over from Principals Funds Management.

Hodgkinson joins ECP from GMO Australia where he was responsible for institutional, wholesale, and consultant relations and business development throughout Australia.

While at GMO, he spent time overseas in London and Singapore, working with institutional, family offices, and private clients. He has also held roles at Dimensional Fund Advisors Australia and van Eyk Research in business development and research capacities.

ECP founder and chair Manny Pohl said that the new hire is a key step in the development of the asset manager.

"We are moving into a new phase at ECP as we look to expand our product offerings for our clients," he said.

"It makes sense, and it is the right time, to bring Lachlan on board to further build the distribution of our funds by bringing the capability in-house."

Pohl also said that Hodgkinson's local and global experience will blend well with ECP.

"Lachlan's knowledge of various markets will help add to ECP's local and global outlook and help with the company's growth and expansion," he added.
