DWS adds to distribution team

DWS has hired Adam Willis as a senior client coverage specialist for its Australia and New Zealand business.

Reporting to DWS local head of client coverage Lidia Tomova, Willis is responsible for building consultant relations and relationships with local investors to help them meet their long-term investment goals.

He joins from Research Affiliates where he sold the firm's solutions to Australia-based institutional and wholesale investors and their advisors.

Before that, Willis worked for Legal & General Investment Management as head of index and multi-asset distribution.

Earlier, he was an executive director at MSCI.

Tomova noted that Willis' experience in index, quantitative and multi-asset strategies and solutions-based approaches to engage investors and wealth segments complimented her team's capabilities as the firm diversified its client base and rolled out new initiatives across post-retirement, wealth and super.

DWS head of client coverage for Asia Pacific Vanessa Wang said the Australian institutional asset management business has shown continuous growth over the last three years."

"Australia is an important market in APAC as we continue to see opportunities for DWS's strong capabilities across real assets, index and systematic strategies," she said.

Commenting on his new role, Willis added that he looked to bring his experience working with institutional investors to help DWS grow its presence and influence in one of the world's most prominent savings markets.
