UBS' head of asset management in Australia and New Zealand, Bryce Doherty, is set to leave the organisation later this year.

Doherty joined UBS in 2011 as head of wholesale and, in 2013 was named the CEO of UBS Asset Management Australia.

During his time with UBS, Doherty also contributed to the future of the industry with board positions on the Financial Services Council. He's been on the funds management board committee since 2015 and a director since 2018.

A UBS spokesperson said Doherty will remain with the organisation until the end of June to facilitate a smooth transition. "We would like to offer our sincere thanks to Bryce for his contribution to UBS. During his career at the firm, he has played a key role in the successful build-out of AM in Australia, including the integration of ING Investment Management and the partnership with Yarra Capital Management and CBRE Clarion, and has provided strategic insights to the broader Australian business."

Doherty was previously the head of wholesale at BT and held business development roles with AXA, Perpetual, and Challenger.

UBS has appointed its head of Australian real estate, John Mowat, as interim head of asset management in Australia and New Zealand.
