PM Capital has announced the departure of Todd Barlow, a non-executive director of PM Capital's ASX-listed Asian Opportunities Fund Ltd (the company), effective 20 March 2017.

Barlow had been a director of the company since its ASX-listing in May 2014 and was also chair of its audit committee. Andrew McGill, chair of PM Capital's other listed company, the Global Opportunities Fund Ltd, has been appointed as Barlow's successor on both the board and as audit committee chair. McGill remains the chair of the Global Opportunities Fund Ltd.

In an announcement to the ASX, the company said that Barlow's decision to step down was due to "increased professional obligations flowing from executive responsibilities."

Barlow added: "I wish to thank my fellow directors, and express my appreciation to our shareholders for their support as we have worked together to grow our company. I would especially like to thank our portfolio manager, Kevin Bertoli of PM Capital, for his stewardship in managing our company's investments. I wish the company all the best for its future success."

Barlow is currently the managing director of Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company Limited and was previously managing director of Pitt Capital Partners Limited, a Sydney based corporate advisory firm he joined in 2004. Between 2005 and 2008 he was based in Hong Kong and provided advice on cross-border transactions between Asia and Australia.
