Director of Manager Research Ratings to depart Morningstar

Chris Douglas has confirmed recent media reports that he will depart his role as director of manager research ratings at Morningstar to join Auckland-based governance and consulting firm, MyFiduciary.

Douglas, who first joined Morningstar in 2006, was appointed to his current role in August 2016 and is responsible for leading the manager research and ratings team in both Australia and New Zealand. Before this, he jointly led the manager research team in the firm's Sydney office and spent two years working as a senior leader in the firm's North American data business before returning to Auckland.

He will commence his new role in September 2018. A recruitment process is underway at Morningstar for his replacement.
