Director joins Aura Group

Brett Craig has confirmed to Industry Moves, his appointment to Aura Group as a director for Aura Funds Management.

Craig joined Aura Group in December 2016, in a consultancy capacity, and was formally appointed to the role on 1 March 2017.

He will also take responsibility for the firm's High Yield SME Fund as portfolio manager.

Prior to joining Aura, Craig was a vice president with Macquarie Group from June 2013 until September 2016, where he focused on originating, structuring and distributing debt products primarily in the Australian market. His achievements include structuring and executing the first Fintech debt deal by an Australian bank, expansion of the business client base and managing graduate programs. He joined Macquarie in 2005 as senior associate to the manager and was promoted to manager in October 2016.

Commenting on his new role with Aura, Craig said: "I'm thrilled to be joining Aura as director in the Funds business and look forward to launching the High Yield SME Fund and additional products for our clients in the future."
