Deutsche Bank confirms CEO

GLENN MORGAN
Deutsche Bank Australia - Chief Executive Officer
APPOINTMENT
DEUTSCHE BANK AUSTRALIA
Date: July 2021
Position: Chief Executive Officer

Deutsche Bank Australia has confirmed Glenn Morgan as its new chief executive officer. Morgan has been in the role for the last year in an interim basis.

Morgan replaces Anthony Miller, who became the CEO of Westpac's institutional bank.

"Glenn is ideally placed to continue to lead the franchise, as we invest in our local business, following the launch of our onshore cash management capability and a number of recent strategic hires for our investment banking business," said Deutsche Bank Asia Pacific CEO Alexander von zur Muehlen. "Australia is core to our Asia Pacific and global franchise due to our broad local product offering, leadership in fixed income, and our special ability to foster cross-border activity, both inbound and outbound.

Morgan joined Deutsche Bank in 2008 as head of Australian equity sales. He became head of equities in 2017 and interim CEO in mid-2020. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Morgan was head of Australian equity research sales with J.P. Morgan and was CBA's vice president of equity capital markets.
