Partner joins Deloitte Access Economics

Deloitte Australia has announced the appointment of Steve Kanowski as parter in the Deloitte Access Economics (DAE) team in Queensland, effective 1 August 2017.

In this role, he will lead DAE's national transport economics team.

Kanowski is the immediate past chief economist and general manager (strategic policy) at the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. He has more than 25 years' experience consulting to public and private sector clients within transport infrastructure sector, including 10 years based in London and Dublin. He led the preparation of Queensland's Transport Coordination Plan (2017-2027), as well as the preparatory work for a 30 year rail strategy.

Also joining the DAE team is Pradeep Philip, a former associate director-general of the Queensland Department of Premier and Cabinet and former secretary of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
