Date: May 2017
Position: Director

Sydney based equities boutique EGP Capital has confirmed the appointment of Chris Cuffe as a director of its board, effective 17 May 2017.

Cuffe is currently chair of Fitzpatrick Private Wealth and UniSuper, and is a director on the boards of listed investment companies Global Value Fund, Antipodes Global Investment Company Limited and Argo Investments Limited. He is also the founder and chair of Australian Philanthropic Services; the founder, director and portfolio manager of Third Link Growth Fund; and the director of Cuffelinks.

Previously, he was appointed CEO for Colonial First State in 1990, and Challenger Financial Services Group in 2003, and in 2006 joined non-profit organisation Social Ventures Australia (SVA) as an executive director.

Commenting on Cuffe's appointment, EGP Capital founder and chief investment officer, Tony Hansen, said: "I was introduced to Chris back in 2015 by a mutual friend. In September 2015 EGP began managing some funds from one of Chris' philanthropic pursuits on a fee-free basis. Earlier this year, I approached Chris to discuss how I might be able to take EGP's product to a wider audience. After working together on the best way to do that, I asked Chris if he would join the Board of EGP Capital."

"We are delighted to have a director of Chris' calibre join the board and, with the increased profile he will bring, hope we can deliver the same sort of strong results we have historically to a far larger investor base."
