Crowe Horwath appoints Senior Manager, Global Trade and Customs

Crowe Horwath, part of Findex, has announced the appointment of Sam Lawrence as senior manager, global trade and customs, effective March 2018.

Lawrence joins Findex in a dual capacity working between performance consulting and tax advisory, focused on global trade. He will work closely with new hire Amelia Hartney, associate partner, performance consulting, and Richard Nutt, associate partner, global trade and customs, to assist in the design and build of trade focused services.

Lawrence, a former diplomat with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has experience in negotiating Australia's free-trade agreements. His most recent role was with Horticulture Innovation Australia, based in Melbourne.

Commenting on his role at Crowe Horwath, Lawrence said: "The opportunities to increase Australian businesses' share of global trade are truly exciting, with demand for high-quality, safe Australian products and services rising rapidly.
