Cromwell appoints new head of retail funds management

Real estate investor and fund manager Cromwell Property Group has hired Peta Tilse as its new head of retail funds management.

In this role, Tilse is tasked with growing the business across Australia.

Tilse brings over 25 years of experience to the job.

She was a fixed income portfolio manager with Suncorp Investment Management for eight years until 2007.

After that, she was a private client adviser at UBS Wealth Management and director at Goldman Sachs JB Were.

Earlier, she did stints as a financial markets dealer with National Australia Bank and Westpac.

Tilse is a director of boutique investment management firm Levantine Wealth and an investment consultant and researcher with asset consultant and technology firm Research IP.

She is the founder and managing director of Sophisticated Access - a regulatory technology company that now forms part of Research IP.

Cromwell chief executive Jonathan Callaghan said the growth of Cromwell's funds management businesses is a key priority. "Peta's wealth of experience will be instrumental in making this happen."

Tilse added that she looked forward to leading the team and continuing to grow and deliver strong outcomes for Cromwell's investors.

The executive serves on the Financial Advice and Services Council for FINSIA.
